Of all the things to do in Lake Garda, one thing you should definitely consider is to rent a boat out for the day.

If you hire a boat on Lake Garda it’s not just fantastic fun, you also get to see the stunning landscape and scenery from a totally different perspective.

Every year when my family come out to visit me in Lake Garda we hire a boat from Motonautica Zanca in Salo, it’s everyone’s favourite day out.

Usually we drive across to Garda, Bardolino and Lazise…..It’s a great way to visit three beautiful Lake Garda towns in a short space of time. We have a quick look around the shops, take an aperitivo and then maybe some lunch. Back on the boat we cruise around the coast looking at the amazing villas and hotels, then we stop the engine somewhere and take a swim….it’s so much fun!

This year we decided to do something different…..we drove up to Malcesine, then stopped off for lunch at Ristorante di Umberto in Castelletto di Brenzone. This is what some of the guys had to say……

No better way to spend the day; hiring a boat from Motonautica Zanca, cruising the gorgeous sites and soaking up the warm summer rays. probably the best way to take in the spectacular lake scenery. As a foodie the highlight of the day was our stop at Ristorante da Umberto, where the lasagne al forno was divine. You can see why they haven’t changed the recipe since 1963! All in all a wonderful day accompanied by a chilled glass of Pink Rose Prosecco….Federico

We hired a boat for the day and went for lunch at a beautiful restaurant in Brenzone. We passed lots of lovely villages, including Malcesine, we saw so many beautiful sights. I would highly recommend taking a boat out for the day and stopping off at different places….Kelly

Brilliant day on the boat capturing some amazing sights, including Malcesine. Lovely lunch stop at Ristorante da Umberto, where the food and service were lovely. Then back on the boat to take in more views and a swim in the crystal clear Lake Garda water. A great day, the only downfall being that it ended too quickly…..Julie

We always use Zanca, they are local to us and the provide a fantastic service, but if you are situated in a different part of the lake then check out our page showing a map of places where you can hire a boat on Lake Garda.
