From June 22 and July 2, the 5th edition of the music festival Acquedotte, which translates to water pipelines because, the culture flows from the lake to the river, from Salò to Cremona.
Both locations are wet from the water that flows from the basin of Lake Garda to the Great River, and they are also connected by the violin making tradition, which includes the master Gasparo da Salò and the Cremonese Amati and Stradivari.
Three of the festivals will be hosted in in Salò, from July 17 to September 3, 2016.
- June 22 – Orchestra Magica Musica – Free event
Music is known, works wonders! It is able to create magical atmospheres where it is pleasant to express oneself individually and collectively, where joyful and rewarding moments are lived, where you never feel alone. The group has fun, the boys are committed and are full of enthusiasm, the results come with great gratification for all “. This is how the director Piero Lombardi explains the wonderful MagicaMusica project, a musical group composed of 30 disabled children. The purpose of the initiative is to offer these people a moment of fun and, at the same time, stimulate them to better individual and collective psychophysical growth by using and exploiting the great potential of music. And from the entertainment comes also the artistic results, so much so that recently MagicaMusica has thrilled the great television audience of the popular talent “Tu sì que vales” presented by Maria De Filippi, where the orchestra of special boys was ranked in second place overall . The performance of the MagicaMusica orchestra will be preceded by that of Le Risonanze, a homologous project of inclusion thanks to the music that Salò is conducting Alessandra Moreni/li>
- July 19 – ORCHESTRA SINFONICA DI SANREMO – Cost €15
The Sanremo Symphony Orchestra is one of the oldest and most prestigious Italian musical realities, with its one hundred years of life celebrated in 2005. The main venue of its concerts, more than a hundred a year, is the Teatro dell’Opera del Casinò of Sanremo. In its long history it has seen the alternation of the greatest directors and major international soloists. Attentive to the enhancement of young talents (the Sanremo Symphony boasts the lowest average age of all its members among the Italian concert institutions), is endowed with a great versatility, which allows it to perform, always with great recognition, both the repertoire classic, both romantic, modern and contemporary. From 2015 the artistic director is the Brescia-born Giancarlo De Lorenzo. In Salò the Sanremo Symphony Orchestra, for the occasion directed by Roberto Molinelli, who is also arranger of the pieces, brings a fresh and fun program, dedicated to the most beautiful songs of the Sanremo Festival, a sort of “soundtrack” of several generations of Italians.
