Your ticket to Lake Garda’s biggest Italian lake side market……
Each Thursday morning the pleasant lakeside town of Bardolino, situated on the south-east side of Lake Garda, holds a traditional open air street market that stretches for 1km along the main promenade. Offering a colorful selection of crafts, souvenirs and fresh farm produce, this characteristic market provides a great opportunity to purchase some authentic yet inexpensive olive oil and local foods, including the town’s world-famous Bardolino wine. The narrow winding streets of Bardolino’s old town centre provide plenty of opportunities for chic Italian shopping, enjoying fine local cuisine or just soaking up the atmosphere. The many fashionable boutiques, cafes and restaurants retain a style and sophistication that is distinctly Italian; in fact Bardolino is unique in that while it is a popular tourist location, most of the shops in the area are used by Italians as well. Our boat will pick you up from one of the departure ports so that all you have to do is sit back, relax and enjoy the balmy lake breeze and the picturesque views. During the one hour journey our boat will pause briefly so that you can admire the beauty of the Isola di Garda which is one of the most stunning natural landmarks on Lake Garda.
Hi we are staying in bella italia Campsite for one week end of June to 3rd July. We are hoping to rent bikes and cycle to Borghett ( and anywhere else you would recommend) Is there any easily accessable markets from Pescheira that you would recommend? we are 2 familes with 3 kids each (ages 16-11) so we are trying to keep everyone happy! (Gardaland is on their list!) any help appreciated
Hi Inez, Lake Garda has markets in most of the lakeside towns. Ss well as the market in Bardolino on Thursday there is a market in Peschiera on Monday and a market in Lazise on Wednesday. As well as Borghetto there are other attractions and places to visit not for from Bella Italia such as Parco Nature Vivaand Parco Sigurta.
Sorry I meant to ask also – Can we easily get to Bardolino for the Thursday Morning markets from Bellia Itala?
You could take the ferry.
