Padenghe sinks back into the Middle Ages. It’s been going back in time every summer for the past 16 years with the
well-oiled ‘Medieval Padenghe’ event, which will take place on the third weekend of August, as is tradition. On Saturday 20 and Sunday 23, the town’s historic centre and streets will transform into a lively and noisy medieval
market with the addition of street artists, jugglers, stilt walkers, fortune tellers, fakirs, parades in vintage
costumes, musicians, falconers, and flag wavers.

This celebratory illusion of being in the past will last for two days and cars won’t be allowed. Padenghe districts will have food stands up for you to indulge your palate during the festivities, starting at 7:30pm on both days of the event.

Do not miss out on the grand finale at 11pm, with the usual fireworks simulating a fire at the castle.
