Of course there is the lake and the abundance of activities that the lake has to offer; there is the stunning scenery, the amazing views and the diverse nature that are a product of the unique geology and climate of the lake. There are the historic lakeside towns the, the walking, mountain biking, the food, the wine, the churches, the castles, the museums and the endless list of Lake Garda events. The list of things to do and see in Lake Garda seems to grow longer rather than shorter the more time you spend there.

One thing that I highly recommend on a Lake Garda holiday is a ride on horseback through the lush countryside that adjoins the lake. A relaxed stroll under a clear azzurro sky on the back of an adorable and impeccably behaved horse; across fields, through vinyards and olive groves, shady woods and sleepy villages……..immersed in peace and tranquillity away from the busy tourist spots.
