Of course when you are going on holiday you dream of clear blue skies and wall to wall sunshine. When you get this at Lake Garda the lake becomes a glorious colour which I can only describe as Lake Garda Blue, because it’s a blue that you will not find anywhere else on the planet.

As beautiful as it may be when the skies are clear and the sun is big and yellow, add a few cloud formations and some mist rising and you will be beholden to a truly magical panoramica. After three years here I am still fascinated that when I open my shutters in the morning I am greeted by something amazing which is different every day. When the sun dips behind the mountain in the evening the colours produce some spectacular effects.

I wish I was an artist because I would have new subject matter to paint without having to leave my front garden. I am going to buy a new camera so I can take photos worthy of the beauty, but until I do I will continue to post photo taken on my Lumix, because I feel what I see should be shared.
