Whether winter or summer, day or night; Lake Garda is one long party. But in August, the celebrations are twice as good. There are countless concerts, shows, religious festivals, displays and processions that
take place all down the coast.
Many are truly exceptional, including the Valtenesi Air Show,which on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st August will see the acrobatic air team Frecce Tricolori soar into the heavens above Garda. This a truly stunning exhibition, between Garda’s azur expanse of water and the clear, blue sky, that also celebrates the glorious history of aviation at the Brescian Garda. Here, in fact, the flying ace Francesco Agello achieved two high speed seaplane world records during the 1930s, both of which remain unbeaten to this day.
Your eyes will continue to be fixed skywards thanks to further stunts by the Frecce, as well as many fireworks that bring light and colour to the Riviera:

• Thursday 11th in Maderno for the Festival of Sant’Ercolano
• Sunday 14th in Limone for the Yellow Night
• Sunday 14th in Manerba for The Magic Night
• Monday 15th in San Martino della Battaglia for the Festival of Wine
• Sunday 21st in Padenghe for Medieval Festival of Padenghe
• Sunday 28th in Salò for the Late Summer Night
• Monday 29th in Sirmione for the Festival of the Host
• Saturday September 3rd in Desenzano for Lights on the Lake
• Sunday 4th in Limone for the End of Summer Festival

In short, it will be a scorching summer around the lake; not only thanks to the fireworks, but also to the many events mentioned in this article.
