Gardagolf– has a reputation with golfing eperts as one of the best courses that has been constructed over the last fifteen years. This 27-hole golf course, which extends over a total area of 110 hectares between the Rocca di Manerba, the Castle of Soiano and the Valtenesi hills, and offers a breathtakingly beautiful panorama, was conceived by the English architects Cotton, Pennick Steel & Partners. The club has acheived two requirements important to golfers, spectacular greens and technically demanding course. Gardagolf is the hosts of a number of prestigious golf tournaments, including National tournaments and has previously hosted the Women’s International Open and the Italian open in 1997 and 2003.
The clubhouse, with its elegant lounge offers a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere perfect for relaxing after a day on the course. You can chill out on the terrace and enjoy panoramic views of the lake, or, when the evenings are cooler relax in front of the cozy fireplace.
There is a golf school, with three ‘master proffessionals’. There are both covered and uncovered driving range, and video/computer technology to assess your swing and help you make adjustments to improve it. In addition there are two putting greens, one of which is illuminated, a pitching green and a practice bunker.

Garda Golf with its 3 9-hole courses has been improved considerably over the last few years. This is the home of Matteo Manassero, the teenage wonder, who won the club championship at the age of 12 and has gone on to global professional success. The courses are good and challenging now, especially the white and red courses, with the second hole on the red being a great short hole over water. They are also much friendlier to visitors in recent times, and with good food in the clubhouse, this would be my pick of the courses most local to Lake Garda.
