Boats better than cars for getting around the lake!
Residents and tourists can count on offers targeted towards their boat travel
The lake is an added bonus for tourist and resident travel” stated Paolo Rossi recently, President of the Federalberghi association, “but its full potential is not being used at all, both for people and for goods”. But Navigarda, the Lake’s public sailing company, has done its part, by promoting for the 2016 season, the ‘Conosci il tuo lago’ (Know your lake) project.
The initiative is aimed at residents in the communes of Lake Garda, who get a discount of about 20% on voyages. To claim it, just show up at the pier with an identity card confirming your residence. The aim is to promote travel on the lake and to reduce congestion on the roads.
There are also initiatives, promotions and special voyages specially aimed at tourists, who have shown to value the service for some time (in 2015 Navigarda set a record of 2.2 million tickets sold).
To stay up-to-date on offers, travel schedules and voyages, you can download the official Gestione Navigazione app for Lakes Maggiore, Garda and Como (for smartphones and tablets, Android and Apple).

Faded pictures of a legendary decade
The exhibition
The exhibition has been set up in the rooms of the Palazzo Callas, in Piazza Carducci: dozens of large and very large-scale photographs are on display from the historic Fondazione Negri, guardian of the impressive photographic heritage of the Studio Negri in Brescia, as well as the largest archive on the Mille Miglia.
An old video from the Istituto Luce will give visitors the chance to completely immerse themselves in the spirit of the race. The exhibition is showing until the 3rd July. It is open everyday, from 10.30am to 12.30pm and again from 4.40pm until 7pm (Friday and Saturday until 10 pm), and admission is free. Organised by the municipality, the exhibition is sponsored by the 1000Miglia, the Province of Brescia and the Consorzio Lago di Garda Lombardia.
