What we think

This restaurant is located in the ancient village of Cisano, set slightly back from the lake behind Portese. This very old building was once the evening meeting place where field workers refreshed themselves after a hard day. Now a restaurant, all the original features and character have been maintained.

The restaurant has recently (June 2014) re-opened and the current proprietors have chosen to give a dinning experience that matches the character of the building. They provide a simple menu of very local, very tasty dishes which allows you to sample typical dishes of the area that have been around for generations.

The service is very friendly, nothing is too much bother so don’t be afraid to ask. This is a delightful place to spend the evening; you’ll need to go back so that you can try all of the things on the menu that made your mouth water.

Our favourite dish-Antipsto de la Mirleta Lago (mixed fish of the lake appetizers), Coniglio alla Gardensa (rabbit cooked in the oven), Talgliatelle ai Porcini
Closed-The restaurant is only open for dinner in the evenings after 7.30pm
