It is the Groppello that keeps the passion for wine-growing alive among the Turina brothers

About Turina

The cantina Turina is a family farm that has been cultivating vines and olive-trees for many generations; at present it is managed by three brothers: Paolo, Luigi and Dario. Their grandfather Luigi first ventured into wine-making almost 100 years ago, growing the native Groppello grape of the Valtenesi to produce a wine appreciated by his customers for its tasty equilibrium and particular qualities.

About 150.000 bottles of great Doc Garda Classico wines are produced each year from the 18 hectares of vineyard in Valtènesi. The farm cultivates with absolute consideration for the environment. The modern wine-making cellar, bottling and refinement, is the result of a series of investments started by father Gaudenzio in 1974.

The cantina can be easily found on the main road between Desenzano and Salo so if you are passing why not drop in and taste some of their super wines. You may even recognise the wine as it is a favourite with many of the local restaurants, as is the olive oil which is one of our favourites
