Ristorante Pizzeria is a fantastic restaurant in Desenzano specialising in Pesce di Mare (seafood)…and they also make a mean pizza. It’s one of those places that I love to go, but when I get there I can never make up my mind what to eat. I’m always drawn to the antipasti di mare, which is a sharing dish of five or six different fish appetizers (you wont need to order anything else), but then when I smell and see the enormous pizza I want one of those. And then there’s the fresh fish cabinet which is also always appealing. It just means that I have to go back regularly so that I don’t miss out.

There are three dining areas in the restaurant, the front area is a more traditional style, but the rear area is enclosed in glass and has good views across the ‘lungolago’ to the lake. It’s also possible to dine fuori (outside) if you book early enough.

The service is very good, the staff are very friendly and efficient. The owner is a wine enthusiast so there is an excellent selection of wine.
